Scanmark LTD is currently beta testing a new business process management system that will allow institutions of higher learning the ability to streamline current business practices such as  purchase orders, expense forms and vacation requests. Scanmark LTD is developing a dashboard of key academic indicators for an academic institution in Northern West Virginia. The dashboard captures key performance indicators including financial results, class and teacher loads, academic testing results and scholarship and grant information. The dashboard is being used by the University as part of its forward looking strategic planning.

Mark Starcher, president of Scanmark LTD, participated in the Andreessen Horowitz Innovation Meeting on June 13, reviewing state of the art network storage, storage and virtualization platforms. One of the interesting developments is the new EBook product from Kno, which provides a way to integrate EBook access metrics into learning tracking programs.

Scanmark LTD is working with two clients on the adoption of Canvas learning management software by Instructure. Mark Starcher, President of Scanmark LTD, attended the CanvasCon meeting in Washington DC in November 2011 and discussed pilot programs with Instructure executives.

Scanmark LTD has introduced a transcript tracking and identification application which allows higher education clients to track student records through a web interface. The application also provides data mining capabilities by indexing the entire student transcript record and allowing boolean searches against an academic record.

Scanmark LTD has developed a web-based business intelligence application for higher education that summarizes financial costing information universities. The application, originally created for West Liberty University, provides a graphical interface for those interacting with the information along with drill down capabilities to the underlying financial and student information. Scanmark has announced the availability of several enterprise level applications for on-demand service. The software as a service (SAAS) packages include Human Resource Development, Corporate New Media Communication Platforms, document management systems, learning management systems, and content delivery vehicles.
